When you are planning your wedding and you already know when you are getting married, you will need to inform your guest in time. A Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage certificate is not a public record, so only the two applicants listed on the Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage certificate may receive a copy of the Declaration and Registration of Informal Marriage certificate.

There are no wait times or caps associated with spouses of U.S. citizens — unlike those of green card holders — and importantly, if you legally entered the United States but fell out of status, you can have it forgiven during the adjustment of status process.

Payment made by credit or debit card will be charged a 2.75% convenience fee based on the amount of the charge ($1.00 minimum). You can apply for a license from any city or town in the state — it doesn’t have to be from the town where you live or where your ceremony will be.

Recording staff will give you your marriage license, a Certificate of Marriage, and an information packet. Many people prefer to have an attorney’s help with applying for a green card. If you need a certified copy immediately after your ceremony, you should return in person to the Snohomish County Customer Service Center with the completed Certificate of Marriage.

You need to have a marriage license to get married in the Bay State. A marriage certificate is not the same as a Record of Solemnization of Marriage, which the person who performed your ceremony might give you afterwards. Couples may apply for either a Public Marriage License or a Confidential Marriage License.
Marriage certificates began being filed with the Office May 1, 1913. The marriage ceremony must be performed in Virginia within 60 days after the license is issued. For out-of-state residents, apply for a license in the Indiana county where the marriage will be solemnized.

Any Georgia resident may apply for a license in any county in Georgia. A roman priest called St Valentine, would secretly marry young couples at a time when marriage was prohibited by the roman emperor. A marriage license is void unless the marriage is solemnized within 33 days from the date of application.
