I dont want to go to harsh as there is some great people in auburn but this community is plagued by gun violence and robberys and overall the whole area is very dirty people just litter and spit in the streets, at night can be especially dangerous if your a woman would not recommend walking around the train station or Parramatta road area as alot of dodgy characters hang around, i lived in this area for a long time and know alot about it i would not reccomend this place unless you know people here or are familliar with the area.

I think Auburn has good shops including ALDI, Woolworths,Coles,BigW,Harvey Norman,Good Guys, Bunnings and also restaurants which are open late unlike some expensive suburbs in east and north sydney where after 5pm will become a ghost town. I have lived in auburn for 6 years and i have been robbed 14 times, my house has been broken into twice and I was mugged while i was walking into the train station.
