Brazilian prisoners are too often forced to endure appalling daily living conditions in the country’s prisons, jails and police lockups. At the other extreme, the 100-percent tolerance model recognizes that the government does not have the capacity to provide all the serviced land needed, and thus tolerates irregular and informal arrangements that may eventually be improved with various regularization programs.
Due to their primary focus and function – as well as their associated scale differences – GI and SuDS can be considered as providing natural features desentupidora de ralos into the urban fabric through centralised strategic planning (top-down) or localised urban drainage practices (bottom-up) approaches, respectively.

All of the polluted water finally dispersed to different detention ponds, which subsequently clogged with solid waste (Figure 1.2). Despite all the above mentioned setbacks, the most substantial inhibition to the development of a Master Drainage Plan came in the form of the general population’s rejection of the detention ponds.
By adopting similar measures in the city of Portland on its SEA Street pilot project, Seatlle achieved savings of about 25 percent on expenditures traditionally applied to pollution control, asphalt maintenance, and sidewalk spending, and a percentage of precipitated water retention of 37%, due to its focus on the use of green areas for the absorption of water in grassy strips.

In the control group, tracer-based MRI showed that the high intensity after Gd-DTPA administration into Cn was limited within the corresponding drainage division and its margin adjacent to the internal capsule was sharp in the control group (upper row, D). Sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) – where stormwater is treated as close to the source as possible in as natural a manner as possible – is one approach that municipalities could be using to manage stormwater in a more holistic manner and gain the multiple benefits that conventional systems do not offer (Charlesworth et al., 2003).
