Beyond bellydance, Innah’s dance training includes ballet, pointe, jazz, and latin. She studied many years under Mellissa and Emery Uyehara and was a founding member of Ballet Theater of Des Moines (now known as Ballet Des Moines) artistically directed by Julie Grooters.

Our studio motto is RISE because the story of Devine Dancers is one of perseverance and hope against all odds.
Our kids will face limitless challenges, losses, and seemingly impossible circumstances. Though many Devine Angels go on to pursue professional dance careers most do not. So, we use dance to teach about determination, supporting others, setting goals, and always striving to be the best version of themselves; lessons which will hopefully live with them the rest of their lives.
I did not want to create just another dance studio. Our dancers’ mission is simple and summed up with just four letters. We RISE to give our personal best every day. We RISE when we face a situation we’re not sure we can overcome. And when we feel like we’ve failed and there is no hope, we RISE. I believe wholeheartedly in this attitude because it has not only impacted me personally, but I’ve watched it alter my dancers’ lives as well. I’ve seen teenagers use the studio as an outlet as they develop the strength to face toxic situations at school. I’ve watched children who were too anxious to enter the studio their first year go on to perform in front of hundreds of people and win multiple 1st places at sold-out dance competitions. I’ve seen dancers who were heartbroken by rejection use the RISE mindset to turn their pain into motivation, so they could not only conquer their fears and doubts but conquer those who rejected them.
Becoming a Devine Angel is about accepting you have something special to share with the world and that you can endure any obstacle. My studio’s primary goal is to teach our dancers about how to be a light in the darkness and to never let that light be extinguished. As an extended member of the Angel family, I hope you too, when facing a situation you’re not sure you can overcome, will call on your Angels and RISE. #AngelsRISE
Tap Des Moines will honor our Veterans on June 25th at 6:00pm at the Valley Junction Farmers Market. Based in the coastal resort town of Biarritz in Southern France, Artistic Director Thierry Malandain has developed a very personal approach to dance that is rooted in classical ballet with a contemporary, full-bodied style.

Children’s music and dancing school offering tap ballet, tap dfancing, jazz, modern and lyrical dancing classes. We will learn ballet, tap and jazz skills in combo class and new moves and technique in hip hop and lyrical. The recommended attire for aerial classes is long sleeved tight fitting shirt with tights or leggings and bare feet.
Miss Brittany is a former alumni of Dance 2 Xtreme and grew up in Lake City, Iowa where she was also apart of the Southern Cal Dance Team during high school. Janice has been the director of the Performing Arts degree at Iowa State University since 1984 She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in ballet from the University of Utah and attained her Master’s degree from Kansas State. Two personal characteristics of Dance FX are small class sizes to ensure positive, personal instruction and offering the traditional combination class of ballet, tap and jazz.
Older Kids: Intermediate and advanced dancers typically attend an hour to two hour lesson a few times a week. Offers age-group divided dance classes for children and teens. Ms. Anne began dancing at the age of 3 at DanceArts in Columbia, Missouri. The best age to start dance classes is three.
Ballet might be the natural first step for dance lessons, but if your kids are looking for something more up-to-date, hip-hop might also be for them. This dance class is for dancers 3-4 years of age and will focus on basic tumbling skills including progressions across the mat.
DAC has advanced classes in every area to help our students progress and learn more as they go. Charlee graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance. The average cost of 60-minute dance lessons in Des Moines is $96. Class taught by Salsa Des Moines.
At Ankeny Dance & Performing Arts Academy, your student will not only grow in their knowledge and passion for dance and the performing arts, they will learn to become more confident, motivated, and self-assured.
